“Suffering is our call to attention, our call to investigate the truth of our beliefs.”
Tara Brach
Why now?
Life is just so busy, right? With the mounting number of tasks life demands, its easy for self-care to fall to the bottom of the list. But your self is the most pivotal aspect of your experience. A distorted, ashamed, unhappy self will only prevent you from living a full life. So, why not do something about it now?
Throughout life, we inevitably encounter difficulties that overwhelm us and stifle our growth. The pressures of life can cause anxiety and self-doubt, as we struggle to put on a brave face and push on. During these times, our sense of self shrinks and turns on itself, resulting in negative internal narratives and unfulfilling relationships with others. We may need additional support to identify the root of our issues and develop a healthier relationship with ourselves.
I’ll work with you to identify unhelpful patterns in your life and establish healthier ways of approaching difficulties. We will explore how you currently see yourself and where this outlook may have come from. I can help you to see yourself more clearly.
I appreciate that starting therapy can be a daunting experience for many, so I provide an empowering and understanding space for you to ease into the process and begin to work through challenging feelings and experiences. I am compassionate, non-judgmental and strictly confidential, allowing you to feel safe and finally heard.
